Hjälstaviken – In English

Join us for an excursion to Hjälstaviken, located southwest of Uppsala. The excursion will be held in English. Feel free to bring your own telescope if you have one, but it’s not necessary as we’ll have some available. Once at Hjälstaviken, we’ll make our way to the bird tower where we’ll have the opportunity to observe a variety of bird species including geese, ducks, and some waders. The walk is an easy 2 km back and forth. With a bit of luck, we might catch sight of a bluethroat along the way. Keep an eye out for the Lesser white-fronted geese among the large flocks of geese. Additionally, we anticipate seeing numerous raptors such as White-tailed eagles and Hen harriers.

Gathering: At 6:00 AM at Helga Trefaldighets Church. Back in Uppsala at about 13:00.
